Rev. John Wessels BA (Rhodes), B Th Honours (Rhodes). I consider myself privileged to have the opportunity to serve as senior Minister here. This is a very special congregation with many people giving an enormous amount of their time and resources to be part of the life and work of the church here. I have a strong sense that God has a call for us to grow significantly as a congregation and go to the next level as a church. Exciting years lie ahead of us! I thoroughly enjoy trail running and survive well if I have a weekly dose of trail, veldt and koppies. It is the great and deep joy for me to share life with the wonderful family that I am blessed with – Angela (wife), Ashlynn (daughter) and Luke (son).

My name is Londeka Mabaso, originally from Pietermaritzburg but now I’m Joubarg. I am one of the ministers of gospel at Trinity Methodist Church, in Linden. 2017 is my 8th year in Ministry, and in these years I have grown as a person and a minister. My Ordination is by far the best experience I’ve had, and it has influenced my ministry positively. Once a Pirate always a Pirate.

I am a Pastor at Trinity with a focus on preaching, worship across all services, welcoming New Members into the church and other Membership Portfolio related projects. For over ten years I have worked as a Pastor in Methodist Churches in Johannesburg and Port Elizabeth. I am also a qualified teacher; as such I am continually looking for the links between community building, personal development and ministry. I believe I am a caring and friendly person and derive great joy from preaching and other aspects of ministry. I enjoy spending my free time with my family, reading and being in the outdoors.

Hi, my name is Shannon and I’m doing the Year of Your Life program for 2019. I have been a part of the Trinity family since 2003, but only became actively involved in 2015 after joining Illuminate to become a leader. During the year, I will be involved with the Children and Youth programs, as well as in Outreach. I will also be studying part-time.
I love reading, watching movies and listening to music of most varieties. I am a bit of a history buff, love art and dancing, and am always eager for a cup of coffee with a chocolate brownie and a conversation on current society and world politics.

I am married and have two grown up daughters, one is married and lives in the UK and the other one lives in Fourways. 29 years ago we moved to this area and 22 years ago I started working in the Church office as the Children’s Church Secretary. Six months later I was employed as the Admin Assistant and continued my duties as Children’s Church Secretary in the afternoons. In 2002 I took on the position of Secretary and a few years later I took on the role of Receptionist/Property Administrator. One could say that I am like the antique furniture I enjoy walking and have a real love for animals.
