Holy Week and Easter 2023
We are excited to invite you to join us at these Holy Week Services. The week is intended to draw you to a place where you experience Jesus in a new way, and allow yourself to place yourself in the story of Jesus’ journey to the cross and beyond.
Holy Week is not just a church calendar event that we follow without thought or intentionality, it is an invitation and opportunity for us to draw closer to Christ as we reflect on the days and events that lead to Easter. In each scripture and event we learn something about Christ – and ourselves – which helps us to identify more fully with Christ and prepare for his crucifixion and resurrection.
This year we invite you into that journey with the words “Were you there when…” Our hope is that the question and message for each day will give you opportunity to reflect, prepare, and most importantly draw closer to Christ
This year, the Prayer & Spirituality Portfolio also invite you to visit eight stations of Jesus’ Journey to the Cross. There will not be breakaway rooms or a time of reflection in the service, rather we invite you to participate in the stations that have been set up either in the day, before the service or after the service.
May we all draw nearer to Christ as we reflect on those last days in Jerusalem before Good Friday.

Trinity’s Holy Saturday Remembrance Service will take place on Saturday 8th April at 6.00pm.
This is a service of joining together as a community to remember those who have died. The service will focus on the act of remembering and you will be able to light a candle in the service for the person you are remembering. The service holds special significance in being held on Easter Saturday.
For you to know:
- You need to be present at the service to light the candle/s for your loved one/s.
- The service will be followed by tea in the hall.
- We need your details if you will be attending. You are welcome to bring family and friends too.

Decorating our Sanctuary for Easter Sunday
You are invited to bring any type and colour of pot plant to the church on Saturday 8th April between 8.00am and 10.00am. These will be used to decorate the sanctuary for the Remembrance service and for Easter Sunday. After Easter, the pot plants will be delivered to Trinity families who have been bereaved in the past year.
Volunteers needed!
We need your help on Tuesday 11th April to assist with the delivery of the pot plants to Trinity families (deliveries to families in the area with addresses given). If you can assist, please reply to Angela with your name and contact number.
Please let Angela know if you can help at pastoral@trinitylinden.org.za
