Rise Against Hunger Food Packaging

Time: 9.00am to 10.30am.

Venue: Trinity Methodist Church Hall.

Volunteer Function: The Trinity Volunteers work together for a start-to-finish meal assembly experience by combining rice, soy, dehydrated vegetables and a pack of 20 vitamins and minerals into life-changing meal.

• 36 Volunteers = 6 480 meals packed in 1 Hour
• 54 Volunteers = 9 720 meals packed in 1 Hour
• 72 Volunteers = 12 960 meals packed in 1 Hour

Montgomery Haven Retirement Village 

Trinity Choir Sing-A-Long for the Residents combined with a tea-party for the residents.

Time: 10.00am to 11.30am.

Volunteer Function: To assist with setting up tea and snacks, serve residents and sing-a-long with the Trinity Choir.

The Place of Hope, Orange Farm

 A “Thank You” Tea Party for the Leaders of the Church, Sunday School Teachers and Creche Teachers.

Time: Depart from Trinity at 8.30am. Arrive back at Trinity between 12.30pm and 1.00pm.

Venue: The Place of Hope, Orange Farm.

Volunteer Function:  Assist with the set-up, help serve and have fun.

Trinity have a long standing relationship with The Place of Hope (since 2007). We have furthermore assisted financially in building a Church Building (2017) and in 2019 we built a crèche on the premises.  Trinity help to sustain the growth of their Church and the Creche on an ongoing basis.

New Hope, Zandspruit

A few hours spent playing games with the youth, presentations to moms with regards to social aspects of daily living and prayer with moms and a prayer walk.

Time: Depart from Trinity at 9.00am. Arrive back at Trinity between 12.30pm and 1.00pm.

Venue: Zandspruit Township, +- 15km from Trinity.

Volunteer Function: Help with the set-up, assist with the entertainment planned for the children, and assist the organisers where else necessary.

New Hope, Zandspruit, is a new undertaking for Trinity and we look forward to building on this relationship in the years to come.

Lesedi Aftercare (part of the Tshepo Community Development Initiative)

Venue: Lesedi Aftercare Centre based at the Windsor East Recreation Centre.

Time: Depart from Trinity at 8.30pm or meet the team at the Windsor East Recreation Centre at 8.45am. Depart back to Trinity at 12.30pm.

Volunteer Function: Join us in helping the children enjoy the water at the Windsor Public Pool (based next door to the Community Centre) as they learn to swim. Assist with the set-up of snacks and to connect with the wonderful staff. It’s a chance to spend a fun-filled morning outdoors which giving the kids encouragement to learn a new life skill of pool discipline and water safety – so that these children can grow in confidence and security around water.

Trinity is a founding church of TCDI and continues to support their life-changing initiatives. As part of the TCDI ministry, they run as aftercare program in Windsor East for about 45 children.

Uzima SA Kids Centre

A “Thank You” Tea Party to be held for the Leaders and Assistant Workers of Uzima.

Venue: Ezimbuzini Informal Settlement Soweto.

Time: 9.00am depart from Trinity. Arrive back at Trinity between 12.30pm and 1.00pm.

Volunteer Function: Assist with the set-up, help serve, and have fun.

Uzima Mission: To empower vulnerable children, women and men in informal settlements, to be able to lead lives of dignity through psychoeducation, skills development in a place of safety and compassion.
