Prayer:

Let our church community pray with you - here are some options

The Prayer Chain

The Prayer chain is made up of about 50 dedicated people who pray for urgent prayer requests as needed.

The Prayer Team

Confidential personal prayer is available after every on-site Sunday service with a trained prayer team member.

The Prayer team are also available to pray with you, upon request, in your home or hospital.

Care:

PASTORAL / SPIRITUAL SUPPORT:

The pastors and ministers are available to meet with you to offer support and spiritual encouragement when needed. This includes support during times of major illness, hospitalisation, life transitions and challenges, bereavement, end of life spiritual support or other. We support through listening, prayer, encouragement, and scripture.

SUPPORT GROUPS:

Mental Health Support Group

Do you live with anxiety, depression or other mental health challenges? This group emphasises connection and equipping people with practical tools for personal and spiritual growth.

Last Sunday of every month | 3.00pm to 5.00pm | Educare Centre

Cancer Care Support

A monthly get-together plus practical support for those journeying with a cancer diagnosis.

BEREAVEMENT CARE:

The Bereavement Journey

This is a 7-week group journey, run once a year at Trinity, that gently guides people who have faced bereavement through the most common aspects of grief and bereavement, enabling them to process the implications for themselves and discern next steps.

Individual Bereavement counselling is also available with trained Counsellors.

Grief Support Helpline – this is an easy to access confidential grief support helpline offered by a Trinity member – contact Marietha on 082 786 3593.

A Remembrance Service is held annually on Easter Saturday to remember and honour loved ones who have died.

PRACTICAL ASSISTANCE:

Food Parcels:

You are welcome to access a food parcel from our food pantry in times of need. This is open to those who attend Trinity, and can be accessed once a month.

Please WhatsApp Vicky on 076 118 0157. Collection of parcels takes place on a Sunday only, by prior arrangement with Vicky.

Care Fund:

Short-term financial assistance is available through the Care Fund following an assessment process.

SENIORS CARE:

Monthly Seniors Tea

You are invited to join us for a monthly fellowship tea. You can find more information on our website here: https://www.trinitylinden.org.za/seniors-ministry/

There is regular contact with our senior members through phone calls.

We have a visitation and home communion team.
Please let the team know if you require any assistance.

Counselling:

CARE CONVERSATIONS:

Our Care Conversations ministry provides a safe, confidential and caring meeting space where you can share your burdens and find support. The volunteer team are trained and able to offer support in a structured way through meeting one-on-one with you. These conversations can offer support during times of stress or anxiety; when facing relationship challenges; when seeking clarity during times of transition or needing to determine your next step. Our care model points people to Jesus as we come alongside them.

Christian Counselling:

Christian Counselling offers a unique blend of spiritual, emotional and relational support. It is a mode of counselling that incorporates practices of psychology and spiritual resources such as prayer and scripture in fostering healing and growth. Counselling takes place within a structured process. This type of counselling is suitable for a wide range of concerns including grief, anxiety, relationship challenges, spiritual struggles, trauma, inner healing and personal growth. This is offered at Trinity by a trained and registered counsellor.

Spiritual Accompaniment (Direction):

Spiritual Accompaniment is available with Jesuit trained Spiritual Directors. The purpose of Spiritual Accompaniment is to journey alongside you in the living out of your spiritual life.We have several trained Spiritual Directors at Trinity who we can connect you with.

Prepare / Enrich:

A marriage preparation or enrichment programme offered by a trained staff member.

CHRISTIAN PERSONAL GROWTH COURSES:

Life’s Healing Choices – Freedom from Your Hurts, Hang-Ups , and Habits – May 2025

Healing the Wounded Inner Child – growing self-awareness and healing – July 2025

SERVE WITH US:

We rely heavily on the assistance of volunteers in all the ministries offered. Training and ongoing support is provided for all those volunteering. Join our training opportunities which focus on developing care and prayer skills.
