Heritage Day
24 September
Heritage Day is a time to celebrate the many stories, cultures, and traditions that make us who we are.
From our languages and food, to our music, memories, customs, and family stories, our different heritages are part of the rich tapestry of South Africa. Each one tells a story of where we have come from – and reminds us of the creativity of God.
Paul reminds us in 1 Corinthians 12:12 that “just as a body, though one, has many parts”. We may be different, but we belong to one another.
At Trinity, we celebrate this as **One Heart. Many Voices.**
Different stories. Different traditions. Different voices – together forming something richer than any one of us could create alone.
What part of your heritage are you celebrating today? A language, a dish, a song, a tradition, a braai, a family story, or something else that connects you to your heritage?
