Worship the King. Grow the Kingdom

“And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and people.”

Luke 2:52

The Trinity Library is not just a resource of the church, it is a place of growth and a discussion starter.

If you are looking for material to use in your Home Group; if you are looking for a good Christian Fiction book to read; if you are researching a question of faith; or just looking for spiritual guidance, then the library is the place to go!

The Trinity Library is now available for virtual checkout and physical collection.

Collect your book from Trinity

Requests will be processed on a Thursday afternoon and will be available for collection at the guard hut at Trinity Methodist Church from Friday mornings. Books which are not collected before the following Thursday will be placed back in the library and will need to be requested again.

Books to be returned should be dropped in the ‘Library box’ at the guard hut.

Please could any library books that were borrowed before lockdown be returned, so that they are available for others to borrow.

As a precautionary measure for the safety of everyone involved, please do not borrow or return books if you or anyone in your household has tested positive for COVID-19, or is experiencing any flu-like symptoms.

The preferred loan period is one month. You can keep it a bit longer, unless someone else is waiting to borrow it. Please do not keep anything for longer than 3 months.

(If you are not able to submit via this form, please send an email to Lesley Smithers with your request. Alternatively WhatsApp or SMS Lesley the title and author on 082 340 4162.)

Library funding

We believe that if we are to be a relevant and faithful resource to Trinity we must engage with up-to-date and relevant books and materials. Without having to rely solely on donations and church funds, the Trinity Library volunteers sell second hand books of all kinds on Market Sundays to raise money to buy new titles to add to the library. This means we are able to regularly add good books to the library, so make sure you check out new titles often.

We are also glad to take any suitable second hand books/CD’s/ DVD’s donated to Trinity to add to the library collection. Donations can be left in the office during the week, or placed in the BOOK DONATIONS box in the library.
