SOUP KITCHEN
Connected to the Tshepo Project is a seven-day-a-week soup kitchen providing a hot meal and fellowship to the most marginalised in our community. This is a shared initiative with the Linden Fraternal of Churches.
Trinity is responsible for holding the soup kitchen on our premises on a Saturday morning. Trinity teams serve on a roster basis on a Saturday morning.
There are two meal options – serve soup and bread or make up a breakfast packet (2 sandwiches (filling comprising, cheese, fishpaste or peanut butter), fruit and a boiled egg) for about 50 people.
We also seek ways and opportunities to minister to the spiritual needs of those who attend. A Wednesday afternoon Discipleship Group has grown out of the soup kitchen ministry, where marginalised individuals are discipled and mentored.
Get involved: Join one of the volunteer teams and serve on a Saturday morning.
