Table Talk
With the big upheaval we are facing in the country, does it make you ask life’s big questions…
Does God exist?
Is Jesus important?
What is the meaning of life?
What is Hope?
Why is the world so broken and evil?
Why be a Christian?
Table Talk is an exciting journey for those seeking some insight into these and more of life’s big questions.
In 2025 we have 2 offerings: a 4-week morning run in May, and a once-off evening event at Farina restaurant in August.
An Evening of Table Talk
Table Talk – Life’s Big Questions Over Pizza
Join us for an evening of meaningful conversation, community, and connection at Table Talk, taking place at Farina Café e Cucina, 5th Avenue, Linden.
Wednesday, 20 August 2025 | 6.30pm to 9.00pm
This is a relaxed and welcoming space where we gather around the table to explore some of life’s biggest questions from a faith perspective – no formalities, just honest discussion, fellowship, and plenty of pizza, for just R50.00 per person. Whether you’re curious, questioning, or just keen to connect, all are welcome.
Come hungry for both food and conversation!
If you are interested in attending you can register online by using the form below, or at the registration table after our services from Sunday 3 August, 2025.
All are welcome. You do not need to attend Trinity to join us. Who will you be inviting?
Don’t miss this opportunity to experience a new way of living! Sign up today.
We encourage you to invite someone else (preferably a non-churchgoer or someone who has questions about their faith) to attend. Nasereen has this encouraging story to share with you:
“I invited my colleague to church during a challenging time for him and, to our surprise, when we arrived, he asked, “Do you go to a Methodist church?” I said, “Yup!” Turns out, he grew up in a Methodist Church in his hometown, and when he saw our church ladies all dressed in red and white, he remembered them all greeting him as a kid with “One Heart, One Way. One Way, One Heart”. It made him feel at home and now he’s a regular at Trinity Methodist Church.”
#DontBeAfraidToAsk
“I valued the fellowship and relationships experienced. It’s a great space to openly discuss important questions without feeling judged or condemned for one’s views.”
“Table Talk has shaped how I think about God now when I encounter life’s challenges and happy moments in my life.”
“It enabled me to discuss things more, have the questions, be doubtful but receiving the answers and above all keeping and growing my Christian faith further, stronger, deeper.”
“I have felt that I have grown closer and learned more about God at Table Talk.”
“I have experienced such a sense of peace and love.”

See what 2021 participants had to say about Table Talk:
“When they stepped ashore, they saw a charcoal fire there with fish on it and some bread… Jesus said to them, “Come and eat.”… So Jesus went over, took the bread, and gave it to them; he did the same with the fish”
John 21:9-13 Good News Version
